YANNIS STAVROPOULOS

Born in Athens, Greece. Studied at Berklee college on full scholarship.Played and recorded with such diverse artists as pianists Mike “Jonesy” Jones,
Chris Jacob, Aydin Esen, Sami Amiri and Vasilis Tsambropoulos, saxophonists Andy Sheppard, Jim Odgren, Lyn Dobson and
Dimitri Vassilakis and bassists Manuel Orza, Xavier Padilla, Jack Kulp , Pericles Trivolis,
Yotis Kiourktsoglou and George Fakanas amongst many others.
He is currently touring and recording with Xtrem jazz trio NUKeLEUS® of which he is a founding member
and is in regular collaboration with jazz master Craig Bailey and noted jazz organist
George Kontrafouris.
He teaches at ModernMusicSchool (Athens branch) and his endorsements include:

Istambul Mehmet cymbals, Gabriel drums, Balbex sticks, Flix brushes,
Direct Sound earphones and Cympads.
