He was born in Corfu in 1976, where he had his first contact with music , playing at the Philharmonic Society of Corfu Band. He has beenNikolaos Koratzinos’ student from 1991 to 1997 at the Athens Conservatory , where he graduated with high distinction. In 2003 he attended lessons in the class of Carlos Tarcha , percussionist professor in Colony in Germany. He has co-operated with the Athens State Orchestra from 1992 to 1997 as percussionist. In 1999 he worked at the Athens State Orchestra as a principal Timpanist and from 2004 he has the place of a permanent Principal Timpanist in that orchestra. Also he is member of the brass ensemble “Metallon”, “Enodon” and “ Duo Arsis” and has co-operated with “ Piano Duo Antithesis” and performed in the Iraklion Festival and the Athens Festival. Since 2008 he co-organizes chamber music concerts with primary topic , percussions , together with other instruments. In this context he has co-operated with a lot of remarkable musicians and has performed premiers of Foreign and Greek composers such as ,V. Tenidis and S.Gyftakis. In March 2013 he participated , as solist , for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Athens State Orchestra with a concert for Snare drum – premiere – byTh . Antoniou “ Just Drumming “ .The work is dedicated to the solist. The work has accepted positive criticism from the audience and critics. He teaches percussions at the Athenaeum Conservatory.
